Bill Angelucci arrived at ground zero
in New York on 9/11 within hours of the WTC attack, shooting
for NBC. He photographed stories on the scene for three
weeks and then went to Afghanistan for almost three months,
his pictures leading the NBC Nightly News almost every
night. Bill crossed from Pakistan to Jalalibad without
a military escort in October, when the serious shooting
was going on. His last two weeks there were spent chasing
up and down the mountains of Tora Bora photographing the
hunt for Bin Laden.
